Starting Your Team

This section of the coach curriculum has suggested activities for new debate squads designed to help them acclimate to each other (First Practices), speaking in front of others (First Speeches), and the general idea of debate (First Debates). It also includes logistic resources such as guides to tournament registration through Speechwire, what to do before and during a tournament, and tips for recruiting and retaining team members. The final guide included in this section is a brief overview of AUDL resources that can be helpful for coaches specifically.
